We want you to feel connected at Christ Church at Rivers Edge. That happens as you get to know the people and the staff at the church but, beyond that, it happens as you find your place to serve the Lord and make a difference in the lives of others. We have ministries in the church that exist to serve those who attend our church, but they also provide ways in which you can be a part of serving others in our community, and even around the world!
As Jesus welcomed children to Himself, Christ Church at River’s Edge (CCARE) is always seeking opportunities to serve the needs of families with children. We have a well maintained and furnished nursery and well qualified teachers for children and youth Sunday School.
Currently, CCARE is looking for individuals and families to help us build up a vibrant children’s and youth ministry in our church. If you enjoy and are prepared to disciple children, if you have a gift for music, or just want to extend a helping hand to this ministry…please speak with our pastor Ray
Following the Children’s Message during the Worship Service,
our younger worshippers may attend this service, led by one of
our trained teachers.
NURSERY MINISTRY
We offer nursery care during the Worship Service for
the younger members of our congregation.

Christ Church at River’s Edge (CCARE) offers Sunday School for youth and adults at 10am most Sunday mornings. Wednesday evening Prayer & Bible Study is an opportunity to approach Scripture in a relaxed, casual setting where questions and thoughts are welcomed as we seek to better understand God and His Word.
CCARE regularly announces Christian education and Bible study opportunities available through sister churches and allied organizations in our community.
Christ Church at River’s Edge (CCARE) is committed to serving as the hands and feet of Christ in our community. We seek to meet material needs as we have the ability even as we look to the spiritual needs of our neighbors.
Our pastor is well-prepared to provide evangelism training. If you have never been comfortable sharing your faith with others, if need help with your testimony, or if you just want to ask those questions that may have seemed embarrassing or uncomfortable; you will find our pastoral staff is gifted and excited to help you prepare and gain confidence as you walk and witness through everyday life.
Christ Church at River’s Edge (CCARE) supports mission work in our community, our nation, and around the world. Our denomination, the Presbyterian Church in America (PCA) has three formal organization arms dedicated to reaching people for Christ:
We also support missions and missionaries through our local presbytery:
If you would have a heart for missions service, please speak personally with our pastor or contact him through the church office at 704.461.8614.
Prayer
We believe strongly in the power of prayer and encourage people to pray continually. To that end, we do the following: prayer in the front of the sanctuary enables you to receive prayer by the pastor and elders after the worship service; weekly prayer chain that goes out to many members and regular attendees. Of course, the pastor and elders are available for private prayer.
Pastoral Counseling
Life in this world can be, to say the least, difficult. Challenges arising from relationships, work, health, and other circumstances have the potential to leave us feeling isolated and without hope. The pastoral staff at Christ Church at River’s Edge (CCARE) is prepared to come alongside individuals and families to listen, guide, and provide assistance during the trials that inevitably confront us all.
For special needs, our staff can help connect to Christ-centered counselors in this area with the experience necessary to the most challenging situations. To connect with our pastoral staff, please call 704.461.8614. You may be assured that your inquiry will be handled sensitively and confidentially.
Christ Church at River’s Edge (CCARE) regularly schedules special events to encourage fellowship among our members, to build relationships with visitors, and to reach out to our community. We are always looking for people with the gift of hospitality to help with this work. Whatever your particular gift, CCARE would be grateful for your help in serving and sharing with others. To connect with our Hospitality Committee, please contact Dianne Stinson or Bonnie Baucom through our church office at 704.461.8614 or simply ask a Sunday morning greeter to make the introduction.
